2024 Florists & Table Designers
The L'Esprit de Noël Holiday Home Tour could not happen without the contribution each year from an incredibly talented group of florists and table designers. The following is the list of local talent being showcased in this year’s tour:
Florists
Amy Dittmer, owner and lead designer of Amy Lauren Floral Design, is a dedicated artist specializing in creating floral installations and transformations for weddings and spaces all over Colorado. With hundreds of thoughtfully curated celebrations to date, Amy is recognized for her ability to transform florals into captivating works of art. She and her team of designers have been featured in numerous publications, and she is a respected educator in the floral design and business community.
Amy believes that flowers and thoughtful designs have the power to transform a space, creating a welcoming and unforgettable atmosphere for guests. Her creations are inspired by nature itself, embracing the organic, free-flowing way flowers grow, allowing each arrangement to feel authentic and alive.
Passionate about sustainability, Amy is committed to sourcing locally grown flowers and supporting local farmers as much as possible. She also emphasizes the use of fully compostable or recyclable materials in her work. Based in Denver, Colorado, Amy Lauren Floral Design serves clients across the state and beyond, bringing her unique vision to life for those who truly appreciate floral artistry.
For over 33 years Birdsall & Co. has been known for our massive collection of containers in all colors, sizes, and unique shapes along with a variety of outdoor fountains, birdbaths, statuary, and indoor plants. We believe in the concept of biophilia - that we all have the instinct to connect with nature. We buy for the store with an eye towards the Colorado aesthetic of simple, elegant design.
Established in 1911, City Floral Garden Center is the oldest remaining greenhouse in Denver. The Lammermann family founded a greenhouse for cut flower production. Mr. Lammerman would ride his bicycle down Colfax Avenue (then a dirt road) to deliver cut violets to the Brown Palace.
The greenhouse continued production of cut flowers including carnations, roses, snapdragons, iris, tulips, poinsettias, and chrysanthemums until the 1970s. That was the rise of bedding plant and foliage production which consequently created the garden centers of today.
The greenhouse has grown into a garden center and tree nursery where you can find every category of gardening product and equipment. We are locally and independently owned and proud to be part of Denver’s history. Come in for a visit and find out more.
Tricia Fillingim is the owner of The Fresh Flower Market and has been internationally certified as a member of AIFD. She has been in the floral industry for over 13 years with a bachelors degree in Graphic Design and Art. Education in the industry is very important for her so she makes it a top priority. Tricia has studied with award winning designers from all over the world and has become an award winning designer herself. Awards such as: Designer of the year for Colorado, first place in many bridal design competitions, and first place in the fiercely competitive Iron Fist competition. She specializes in wedding and event work as well as contemporary design.
We can’t tell you exactly when KaraKara started. We like to say it was 2016, sometimes we say 2019, but we were drifting from concept to concept, we didn’t have a store, and our name was Stems. In 2022, we were licensed and became a legal entity, but we had already done some weddings. At some point, we drifted toward KaraKara - a play on our names and a reflection of a shared desire to be fun and personable.
We began in our studio - a place for collecting, gathering and working through a range of design experiments - a make believe of fantasies, problems, and thoughts. We are now located in Denver, have grown a little, but remain in a studio, working together on each project through playful experimentation and serious research. We have won some awards. We’re writing a book. We’ve done so many weddings and events. We’re currently doing more. We have a bird. Our focus is flowers. Our work also includes: weddings, events, interior design, furniture, jewelry, houses, print + digital design, chandeliers, and neon signs.
Table designers
The Acre Collective is a women-run real estate and design group out of Denver, Colorado. We aim to support buyers and sellers from the start to finish of their real estate and design projects.
